Foodbank PLUS gives food packages to those in desperate need but also has the long term dignity and restoration of people as major goals. It provides a cookery class, debt advice and a gardening course. It also provides a 10 week course to help people back into work - developing CV and interviewing skills, linking in with local employers, and building up self-esteem and confidence. Over 60% of clients gained paid work or entered into higher education through this scheme 2015-16. I'm running my 1st marathon on 8 Oct in Chester to help raise money for this worthy cause.
