For Fred's Workshop at the Learning Centre.

On Sunday 7th August I undertook a sponsored walk with a difference. Whilst in Jacodu in Romania. I started by being driven by horse and cart through the village of Jacodu to the village boundary sign and then walking onto the next village of Vetca and from there to the tiny Hungarian church on the hill. I say a walk with a difference as I was wearing a nightshirt and snood and accompanied by Higgins the Bear. The purpose of this is was to have a bit of fun and to help raise funds for another stage of Love Light Romania's learning Center in Jacodu. We have been involved with Love Light Romania since June 2008 and all concerned have become such a great part of our lives. Our involvement with Jo, Ron, Robert, all the staff and the residents of The Sanctuary and Casa Mariana is down to one man, Fred Ryan. All money raised as a result of me willing to make a spectacle of myself has gone towards the construction of "Fred's Workshop" at the Learning Centre in recognition of Fred's many years of support and devotion to Love Light Romania. The workshop will provide the Roma children of Jacodu and Albest with an opportunity to learn skills that for generations have been denied them due to them having no position in society despite having a long cultural history of their own. These young people deserve the same opportunities that so many take for granted. I am appealing to you to help me help these remarkable young people. Thank you.
