Go pink for sam

On february 20th 2017 the unthinkable happened and our beautiful amazing son Sam took his own life. On the 1 year anniversary to help us get through what will be a horrific time for all that love Sam we have decided to ask every to 'go pink' for the day, this could be in the form of hair (or beard) dye be permanent or chalks, an outrageously pink outfit, pink nails or all of the above just make it colourful and full of cheer. we are doing this to remember our son and to try and raise awareness of suicide especially in the autistic, lgbtq+ (the trans community being particularly affected by this) communities. One charity that helped both ourselves and Sam immensely during his life was Perth Autism Support. They got him out of the house and gave him a safe and nurturing environment in which to learn essential life skills and an opportunity to make friends. they offer critical support to over 650 families in the locality and are the only autism-specific service in Perth and Kinross. Despite leaning heavily on them to cover their own short givings and referring every new case to them the local council and NHS services refuse to help make up any of the £120,000 they need to run the charity on a yearly basis. They are at risk of having to close if a solution cannot be found. please give all you can and make sure you 'go pink' and post a photo in the facebook group on the day.
