Charlie runs to raise money for the SHAK dogs!

It is no secret that I am not a runner, i make no claims to be good at it and I frequently find myself not enjoying it BUT this year I'm going to run the York 10K for SHAK....a charity you all know is very close to my heart.

SHAK is not like other dog charities, they are not a public facing charity instead they concentrate on dogs who find themselves in horrible situations, be it abuse, straying or facing the needle. The Focus is not on re-homing, more giving the dogs time to learn to trust again in a safe environment which they can consider home.

At any given time it is not uncommon for SHAK to have over 70 dogs in their care and so every penny really does count and the more time i spend with the dogs makes me even more determined to help.
