Pam Johnson is raising money for Dementia Forward
My story
On Sunday 10th September I will be running The Great North Run!
Starting from March, I put on my trainers and began pounding the country roads. Over the past 6 months I have gradually built up my distance with a fair degree of sweat, aches and occasional tears!
I have decided to put all this effort to good use and I would love to raise lots of money towards 'Dementia Forward', a charity close to my heart. It is a local organisation that does some amazing work for people with dementia and their carers.
As a community mental health nurse, I am witness to the devastating impact dementia can have but I am privileged see the positive role Dementia Forward plays in the local community.
.....so everyone, please dig deep and help me raise some funds for a great cause. In return I will dig deep to complete my 13.1 miles whether it is running, walking or crawling!
