About my fundraising

I'm riding back to the Somme again but this time via Passchendaele where my great-great uncle was killed in September 1918. Cycling has changed my life. To date I've lost approaching 4 stone, ridden in excess of 3000 miles since last June, done something I didn't think I would be capable of (the 250 miles over 3 consecutive days of last year's Ride to the Somme), made a whole bunch of new mates and even set up in business as a cycling coach. Through cycling, you and I can change other people's lives too by raising funds for SSAFA. SSAFA is a brilliant charity which helps servicemen, ex-servicemen and their families through tough times, particularly mental health. I've had my own mental health problems in the past (another thing cycling has helped me to overcome) so I have some appreciation of the life-saving help SSAFA can provide.
