About Florence Trust

The Florence Trust was registered as a charity in 1988. It provides a year long residency program for visual artists, offering subsidised, open planned studio spaces and a bespoke professional development program for up to 11 artists in a Grade 1 listed Victorian Church.We are the only artist studios in the UK to provide such a service and as such have a national and international reach in terms of our resident artists and artistic networks.

Many artists feel that their time spent at The Florence Trust has marked a turning point in their careers, with artists developing exhibition opportunities, project funding and essential contacts during their time with us. To date over 90 artists have directly benefited from The Florence Trusts Residency Program.

Over the next three years we will significantly improve the facilities, increase and deepen the range of support offered to artists, and strengthen the aspect of international exchange and dialogue. We have begun moving toward...more more
