Time can be short for people diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. Half die within 14 months of diagnosis. Over the course of their disease, they will gradually lose the ability to move, to talk and even to breathe unaided. MND is often rapid and always fatal, and there is no cure or effective treatment.
MND Scotland ensures people do not go on this devastating journey alone, and is the only charity in Scotland that provides care and support for people living with Motor Neurone Disease and their carers, while also funding research into the disease.
