THE TEAM

WHERE/WHEN

Cycling over 170 miles from Morecambe to Bridlington (Way of the Roses).

Leaving Yate Thursday 29th March at 6.00pm.

Starting Friday 30th March and the plan is to finish on Monday 2 April and then travel home.

WHY

To raise money to help support projects in Albania. For the last 7 years Ian, Karen, Jacob and Ethan Bright, Bev Howliston and a team have gone to Albania in the summer to help support projects. The projects include working with kids on the streets, helping out in an orphanage, safe house and elderly peoples home. Ian also helps run football camps for kids from different villages.

The money raised will be used to take the children in the orphanage swimming, they only go swimming once a year and for some of them it will be their first time in a pool. We need to buy football medals, balls and equipment for the football camp. We usually have up to 140 kids ranging from ages 7-16 years coming to play football. We can buy crafts and materials to run activities for the street kids and girls in the safe house. The money we raise will hopefully support these projects for a year until the team returns the next summer.

I can't thank this team enough for giving up their time and willing to take this challenge on to help raise money to make a difference to the peoples lives in Albania.
