About THE SWANNINGTON HERITAGE TRUST

The Trust's mission statement is: To provide access to the heritage and environment of Swannington and district for the benefit of current and future generations, by acquiring, maintaining and enhancing heritage facilities.

We have restored a 200 year old windmill and 10 acres of former coal mine and railway sites that are managed as woodland nature reserves.

Where does the money go? £1 = electricity for one day. £2 = weekly mill maintenance costs (paint, screws etc) excluding major projects. £4 = petrol for one week of mowing the grass on our 10 acres of industrial heritage sites. £5 = insurance for the mill, our sites and activities for one day.
