Dear Friends,

Could you help us by giving us something that you normally throw into the bin. As a part of our fundraising efforts we collect all kinds of postage stamps to sell to raise vital funds for the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB).

RNIB are UK?s leading charity offering information, support and advice to over two million people with sight problems. Our pioneering work helps anyone with a sight problem ? not just with Braille, talking books and computer training, but with imaginative and practical solutions to everyday challenges.

We fight for equal rights for people with sight problems. We fund pioneering research into preventing and treating eye disease. Our projects such as Talk and Support and Parents Place make a difference to people?s lives. We need your support to fund our vital work. As a charity we rely on your generosity.

Money raised by collecting stamps helps support services like RNIB Sunshine House School, Northwood. This is a non-maintained special school for children who are blind or partially sighted with multiple disabilities. RNIB Sunshine House School are firmly committed to our belief that all children have the right to learn. They provide a service of high quality specialist education and care through daily and residential provision, enabling our children to achieve their potential.

We are desperate need of more people to send us their used and new postage stamps from the U.K. and abroad. If you know anybody who could help us anywhere in the world, please pass on my details.

For every £1 we raise, RNIB spends 84p directly helping blind and partially sighted people, 14p on raising more vital funds and 2p on administration.

Please could stamps have at least half a centimetre of envelope left surrounding the stamp to prevent damage? Please send stamps to RNIB, PO Box 6198, Leighton Buzzard, England, LU7 9XT, please could all correspondence be sent to the address at the top of this page. Stamps can be sent here as well. This is an ongoing appeal. We are aiming to raise at least £10,000 from the stamp appeal this financial year.

Any help or support your organisation can offer will make a difference to our work supporting blind and partially sighted people. Thank you for your time and consideration.
