Rhian's Skydive for Diabetes UK

My son Ashton was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes 10 years ago (9yrs old) when he was rushed into hospital & went into a diabetic coma from that day forward he has just got on with it and has made me very proud that he hasn't shied away from it or been embarrased.
Once he got to high school & took interest in sports he never allowed it to stop him it may have took him longer to get to the finishing line working out his diabetes around different sports and what his body needed to do to support each sport, he took up athletics, tennis, softball, basketball & Bteam football then in time took up Sunday league football. He had great support from his diabetic team with help,advice & encouragement from his great neutritionist who also was sports mad and helped to encourage Ash.
Ash would inject in public sometimes maybe too public but it's him it's who he is and what he has and it's just Day to day living normal for us maybe not for onlookers & strangers but they all have to learn....folk have conditions, illnesses & disabilities but they are human and should never be made to feel any different to the next person
So ..... as I'm proud of my son 💙 I wanted him to be proud of his mum
