Mike reads 100 books to raise money for the SHAK dogs in 2019

It is no secret that I enjoy reading, I can frequently be seen with a book in my hand and grabbing any opportunity to read. What some people may not know is that I find reading quite difficult, I am dyslexic, but never use it as an excuse, just a different challenge. I will be updating here so that people can see my progress.

SHAK is not like other dog charities, they are not a public facing charity instead they concentrate on dogs who find themselves in horrible situations, be it abuse, straying or facing the needle. The focus is not on rehoming, more giving the dogs time to learn to trust again in a safe environment which they can consider home.

At any given time it is not uncommon for SHAK to have over 70 dogs in their care and so every penny really does count and the more time I spend with the dogs makes me more determined to help them.
