Making Mutende II Happen

Mutende II is a building project, creating a community hall and teaching spaces for the Mutende Childrens Village in Lulamba, Zambia.

Alongside studying for my Masters in Architecture I have committed my time to help design and build this community hall and also raise £2500 to help support the project with Orkidstudio. Orkidstudio is a non-profit humanitarian Scottish charity who has undertaken many projects like this before, have a great impact on children?s lives in many countries. Along with the 2013 Volunteer Team we hope to have a similar impact on the children of Mutende, giving them inspirational classroom spaces, a safe place to play and aspiring resource areas.

I am doing all I can in order to raise all the money in a tight time frame organizing events such as bake sales, a charity dinner, student union events and talks. However, it would be amazing if a good proportion of the fundraising was donated!
