Locks and locks of love for animals and children

My aim is to help both animals and children who have been dealt a raw deal in life.

I am donating my hair to the Little Princess Trust to make a wig for children who have lost their hair, and I am raising money for the fantastic Hillside Animal Sanctuary who save all animals, and care for them at their sanctuary if they cannot rehome them. They never put a healthy animal to sleep which is very important to me.

I would really appreciate some support as this is a really big thing for me. I really don't suit short hair, but I want to do this for the good it will do - the confidence it will bring a young girl, and the animals the money will save.

I decided a while ago that I wanted to grow my hair so I could cut it off and give it to a charity which makes wigs for children who have lost their hair through cancer treatments. My long hair gives me confidence, so I understand how the real hair wigs give these children confidence, and help them feel normal again, whilst going through an incredibly difficult time that no adult, let alone child, should ever have to endure. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love animals, and that they are my passion, so I am asking people to sponsor me to have my long hair cut, and all money raised will go to the incredible Hillside Animal Sanctuary. My heart goes out to these children and animals, so please join me in raising awareness and funds for two incredibly worthwhile causes.

When my final target is met, I will then have my hair cut for Little Princess charity, who provide real hair wigs to boys and girls across the UK and Ireland that have sadly lost their own hair through cancer treatment. This is a big thing for me, but I am lucky as my hair can grow back, whereas these children are going through one of the hardest times in their life, and a simple thing like having a wig made of real hair can really lift their spirits and give them some confidence back.

Hillside Animal Sanctuary are a true, honest rescue who really help every animal in need that they can. They never put a healthy animal to sleep, which is very, very important to me, and which in my opinion makes them one of the most deserving and best rescues out there. They also perform farm animal investigations to help animals in need and bring justice for those without a voice. Hillside have already saved so many animals in the 20 years they have been going, and this money raised will help them rescue and rehabilitate more animals, and obviously contribute towards the care of the many animals they have living at their sanctuary (the more raised, the more they can save!) This rescue holds a very special place in my heart.
