About my fundraising

Providing emergency food parcels for someone living in poverty has, sadly, become a regular part of Lifeshare's work with homeless or marginalized people in Manchester.

Thankfully, we can make even small donations stretch a long way: as little as £4 - the price of a pint of beer or a large coffee in some stores - can buy enough food to make six to eight meals for someone with access to the most basic cooking facilities (see http://www.lifeshare.org.uk/projects/food_parcels for an example).

We are currently providing 40-50 food parcels every week from our Weekend Breakfast service alone, with more still being provided from our office-based CARDS Project. The cost every year runs to well over £10,000 and we need your help to continue providing this essential service.

Please give what you can - every donation counts, and all donations go toward addressing the most basic needs of the most vulnerable people ...more more
