GUY BATCHELOR is raising money for HQ Hereford Garrison Clocktower Fund
Hello and thank you for visiting the page!! As you may be aware I am attempting a solo swim crossing of the English Channel this August in support of two extremely worthwhile charities.
The Clock Tower Fund and Birmingham Children's Hospital both hold very special connections for me and I feel very privileged to be able to raise sponsorship money on there behalf.
Both these organisations have touched my life in the past and I have been fortunate enough to witness first hand the miracles they work and support they give to those who require it.
The English Channel is the Mount Everest of endurance swimming and has been successfully swam by less people than have summited that impressive peak!! It is a 22.5 Mile / 36 KM swim in water temperature of between 16-18 degrees. An average swim time is around 15 hours but can be considerably longer if mother nature isn't with you!
I'll keep this page updated with my progress, the training will be intense and involve many hours and miles of open water swimming conducted in Dover Harbour under the careful eye of the Channel Swimmers & Pilots Federation.
You may have noticed that this page only supports the Clock Tower fund. At the end of the fund raising period the Clock Tower Fund will make a donation of 50% of everything raised to the Birmingham Children's Hospital so rest assured your money will support both great causes.
Thank you for taking the time to visit the page and sincere thanks for any donations you make.
Guy.
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto HQ Hereford Garrison Clocktower Fund.
