Support VMM Kenya Gem Smith

Hi Guys :)

So, last summer I went to volunteer in Asia, this summer I have to do a 5 week placement to support my degree and I thought what better way than to volunteer myself in helping others all over again! Bigger scale this time, I shall be spending 5 weeks in Kisumu, Kenya volunteering alongside VMM International. VMM International is a charity development organisation established in 1969, who works with communities across Africa in the areas of education, healthcare and community development. VMM support projects in the field through funding, project planning and implementation and by sending long and short term volunteers. You can read more about our activities and programmes on vmminternational.org. As part of VMM requirements, all volunteers must fundraise prior to taking up an overseas volunteering position. Predominantly the work that I shall be doing is assisting with raising awareness for the harsh reality of Human Trafficking. This is something that is rife within Kenya and the aim is to assist prevention of this. Any donations that people may be able to spare to assist with this would be greatly appreciated.
