Blu-Tack is turning yellow this month to support Marie Curie Cancer Care’s Great Daffodil Appeal. Each limited edition pack of Blu-Tack Yellow sold will raise 10p for the charity. Makers Bostik are also running a ‘Design a Daff’ competition, to get people using Blu-Tack Yellow to make models of the charity’s emblem, a daffodil. Blu-Tack Product Manager Michelle Hayman said: “When the idea of turning Blu-Tack a lovely springtime yellow came up — and for a cause as wonderful as Marie Curie Cancer Care — we jumped at it. “We are asking people to use their Blu-Tack Yellow to make the head of a lovely daff, and either send it to us or, if they want to keep it, take a photo of it, so we can add it to our own special ‘field’ of Blu-Tack Yellow daffodils.” Every model daffodil or picture sent will earn its maker a place in two prize draws at the end of March and the end of September, for prizes such as dinner for two on the Orient Express Northern Belle. Michelle said: “We are inviting everyone who takes part to nominate a loved one or friend who has been touched by cancer and deserves a bit of a boost. “We will be adding good wishes and daffodil pictures to our special Blu-Tack Yellow website — so not only will the daffs looks beautiful, they will have a beautiful purpose too.”
