Voluntary Norfolk is a registered Charity that has been working in Norfolk since 1969, supporting volunteers and voluntary organisations.
We operate four Volunteer Centres in Norwich, Thetford, Cromer and Great Yarmouth together with a network of Community Co-ordinators across the county and every year we recruit and deploy thousands of volunteers. Some join the projects that we run ourselves, such as our befriending and visiting scheme that combats social isolation, while others join a wide variety of groups and charities across Norfolk, helping to boost individual lives and whole communities.
Our networks for voluntary groups across the county have total memberships of over 1,000 organisations. Through our Development Workers, we offer face to face and telephone support to build the capacity and sustainability of local voluntary and community groups and we provide an effective voice for voluntary sector concerns in our engagement with the public sector.
We deliver frontline projects including training programmes, tackling worklessness and neighbourhood development and via our social enterprise, Charity BackRoom, we offer a range of back-office services to local groups.
