Our Centre is based in Southwick and is a vibrant self-help community for people from the Sussex region who suffer from Multiple Sclerosis (MS). MS is a chronic disease of the central nervous system where scars form on the nerve fibres in the brain or spinal column. It affects everyone differently but common symptoms are loss of mobility, fatigue, cognitive and eyesight problems and bowel and bladder dysfunction. Not surprisingly, this often leads to loss of confidence, depression and isolation.
Our aim here is to build a community that is warm and welcoming, accessible to all and offers every individual affected by MS the support that they need to meet the practical, physical, mental and emotional challenges they face. We offer a wide range of drug free treatments, exercise classes, information, advice and a social hub.
We raise all the money we need to open this fantastic Centre every weekday by giving what we can, organising a busy schedule of fundraising events, and the support of the local community and charitable trusts.
