For over 750 years pilgrims have come to Salisbury to seek inspiration in the glory and peace of its Cathedral and surrounding Close.
It costs £14,000 per day to run this glorious medieval building and we are greatly assisted by a dedicated group of over 600 volunteers. We receive no financial support from the government or the Church of England. It is our donors who fund the vital repair work to the fabric of the building, and help us to deliver outstanding music to make real the glory and presence of God in the world for more than 250,000 visitors every year.
This Trust exists to promote the 'advancement of religion and education for the public benefit and in particular the trustees shall give priority to the repair, maintenance, improvement, restoration and refurbishment of Salisbury Cathedral and the contents there in'.
