Why do we need to raise funds? 30,000 babies are born each year in the UK with a genetic disorder thats one baby in every 25. There are over 4,500 recognised genetic disorders, some of which have no current treatment. Together they account for more than half of all childhood deaths in the UK. Jeans for Genes raises money to fund care and support for affected children and their families, as well as long term research into the causes and cures of these conditions.
What do you have to do? Step into your jeans! Whether you are joining in at work, at school or at nursery, Jeans for Genes is great fun. Genes affect us all, simply by wearing your jeans on Jeans for Genes Day and making a donation you can help change the world for children with genetic disorders.
