SFHT Bike-A-Thon

BIKE-A-THON, David Lloyd, Ringwood Friday 10th May 7am-7pm

You know that feeling when you are able to work out! You feel more energised, in control of your weight, able to help combat health conditions and improve your mood and wellbeing.

But, it is not so easy for people with learning and physical disabilities to achieve the same results. Exercise can bring huge challenges, and specially adapted fitness equipment can provide them with a safe and enjoyable way to achieve the same results as any other person.

The Stable Family Home Trust supports adults with learning disabilities. It is vitally important to ensure that our clients have the same enjoyable exercise opportunities so we are raising funds towards twelve 3-hour Inclusive Cycling Sessions for our clients. The sessions are carried out by PEDALL, New Forest Inclusive Cycling on specially adapted bikes. PEDALL have a wide range of adapted bikes which offer different seating positions; have three or four wheels to increase stability and straps and harnesses to help support body weight. The experience is fun, inclusive and rewarding to anyone, no matter what challenges they may face.

To raise some funds towards this we are hosting a Bike-a-Thon at David Lloyd, Ringwood on Friday 10th May from 7am - 7pm. Participants will pedal furiously in the foyer on spin bikes for your pounds £££'s.
