About Zimkids
Zimkids began when our field director, feeling she needed to go back to her native Zimbabwe and support people there in some way there, began providing just one orphan with food, clothing and education. Over the next three years Charlene realised her potential to reach out to more children with the help of a team. This team became Zimkids.
Zimkids has 4 main objectives;
SELF-SUFFICIENCY Helping people find their own way out of poverty by teaching them skills and providing resources.
RELIEF OF POVERTY Supplying families with emergency food, healthcare, improving accommodation, encouragement & fun.
SCHOOL EDUCATION Offering schooling & extra tuition to those that cannot afford school fees, uniforms etc & are needing support.
DEVELOPING FAITH All our staff are motivated by faith, we offer prayer & bible teaching to all families in our care.

3 THE CHARITY'S OBJECTS (THE OBJECTS) ARE
1. TO TRAIN CHILDREN, YOUNG PERSONS AND THEIR FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES IN
ZIMBABWE IN SELF-SUFFICIENCY AND TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE THROUGH EMOTIONAL AND
SPIRITUAL SUPPORT, AND THROUGH PRACTICAL SUPPORT IN TIMES OF DISTRESS, TO FACILITATE
THIS BY CULTIVATING A CULTURE OF NON-DEPENDENCE SO THAT YOUNG PERSONS MAY
GROW TO FULL MATURITY AS INDIVIDUALS AND MEMBERS OF SOCIETY AND THAT THEIR
CONDITIONS OF LIFE MAY BE IMPROVED.
2. THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PERSONS IN ZIMBABWE
WHO BY REASON OF THEIR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CONDITIONS ARE IN NEED OF
ASSISTANCE, BY THE PROVISION OF SUITABLE FACILITIES FOR AND ACCESS TO PRIMARY AND
SECONDARY SCHOOLING AND FOR HIGHER EDUCATION.
A. THE RELIEF OF POVERTY IN ZIMBABWE BY THE PROVISION OF FOOD AND DRINK, CLOTHING,
BEDDING, HYGIENE AND SHELTER AND THE PROVISION OF MEDICAL FACILITIES, SUPPLIES
AND TREATMENT.
