Youth CREATE

Youth CREATE is a Community Youth Theatre, aiming to offer personal and social development through the medium of creative and performing arts. We enable children and young people aged 1 ? 25, of all abilities, to develop their full potential creatively and socially, in a supportive, caring environment, through all aspects of creative and performing arts. We run weekly workshop sessions which provide regular drama and music-making opportunities and, according to the current project, may also include technical training, craft, movement, dance, circus skills, face-painting, poster design, set design, etc. We also stage public performances several times a year. We operate an ?open door? policy, making every effort to accommodate ALL young people who wish to participate. Around 20% of our members have special needs, including Downs Syndrome, autism, Aspergers, cerebral palsy, behavioural problems, etc. All contributions are valued, nobody gets left out and the non-judgemental atmosphere al... more
