West Wight 3 Peaks Challenge

Event date: 30th July 2016

Julie Dixon is raising money for West Wight Sports & Community Centre

My story

In 2016 the West Wight Sports and Community Centre we will be taking a team of people to take on our most exciting and demanding challenge yet. The 3 Peaks 24 hour Challenge!
The cost to install a climbing wall in our sports hall will be £40,000.
In 24 hours we will be tackling the 3 highest peaks in Scotland, Wales and England. Ben Nevis (1344m), Snowdon (1085m) and Scafell Pike (978m). Our aim is to raise £10,000 towards the cost of installing a climbing wall in the Centre.
The 3 Peaks Challenge will take place between Friday 29th July and Sunday 31st July. It is going to be a tough challenge, but one that we will complete as a team. We have arranged a training programme which will include a series of practice walks, and our team of fitness instructors will be on hand to offer guidance and support.

The 3 Peaks Team:
Mark Adams, Joe Briscoe, Jo Brockhouse, Paul Cameron, Joe Cody, Aiden Collins, George Collins, Julie Dixon, Peter Dixon,Luke Flux, Clare Griffin, Sam Grist, Chris Hayles, Keith Herbert, Amy Huyton, Ben Lambert, Krissy Lloyd,Philip Mowle, Raymond Parker Rodney Parker, Adam Peckham, Blake Rayner, Terry Sears, Mark Shinkfield, Chris Welsford, Elliot Whatson.
