About Winston's Wish
2 children every hour of every day experience the death of a parent - that's 53 children per day and over 20,000 children a year facing the future without their mum or dad. Winston's Wish is a national bereavement service providing support to children, young people and their parents/carers following the death of a parent or sibling. We work in a variety of practical and creative ways, to create an atmosphere where they can share their thoughts and feelings and meet others. All of the money raised for Winston's Wish will go directly towards our work with bereaved children and their families, helping them to express, and understand their diverse feelings. We have found that by looking back and looking within, children can prepare themselves for moving forward. To be able to continue these services throughout the UK, we need to raise over £1 million each year.
