Wiltshire Search & Rescue (WILSAR) is a voluntary organisation which provides specialist resource to the emergency services to locate vulnerable missing persons. A missing person may be deemed vulnerable and at risk from death or injury due to age, physical / mental ability, circumstances surrounding the disappearance, location and / or weather conditions.

TO ASSIST IN THE RELIEVING OF SUFFERING AND DISTRESS AMONGST PERSONS ENDANGERED BY ACCIDENT OR NATURAL HAZARD, PRINCIPALLY IN WILTSHIRE BUT WITHOUT GEOGRAPHICAL LIMITATION, AND TO SUPPORT ANY OTHER RESCUE ORGANISATION, AND TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE SECURE AND EFFICIENT SEARCH AND RESCUE OF ANY PERSONS SO ENDANGERED.
