The 12th May marks International M.E. Awareness day. This year it also marks the day that a brave/ foolish group of people are walking from Newtownards to Ballywalter in Aid of the NI M.E. Association.

I am amongst these foolish people, although as I suffer from M.E. myself I will be taking part in my wheelchair, this may not seem like much, but it is a very big undertaking for me! More foolish than me though would be Craig who has willingly agreed to push me! -very brave/ foolish indeed!

M.E. Is a very debilitating illness that has changed our lives drastically over the last year. It has caused me to lose my job, my independence, my ability to carry out a full conversation, and I am no longer able to enjoy the hobbies that I used to.

The NI M.E. Association is the only M.E charity in NI and seeks to help people suffering from M.E. In NI with the very limited funding it receives.
