About United Response

United Response helps people with learning disabilities and mental health needs. We believe everybody should live the fullest life, whatever their level of disability. We provide everything from 24-hour care to helping someone living in their own flat to get a job.

Funds raised may be used to ...

Almost half of the people we support cannot speak. One of the things that we raise money for is to buy equipment to help people communicate more effectively. For example: £20 could buy a talking watch to help someone who finds it difficult to tell the time. £60 could buy a communication aid with twelve message buttons, each carrying up to 10 seconds of speech, sound or music. This would help someone with no speech to communicate simple messages. £100 could buy a 'big switch'. This would allow someone who may have just one body movement that they can control, to say yes or no - possibly for the first time in their life. You can donate to United Response in several ways. Please visit our website for more details.
