About Tree Aid

In Africa trees have the power to transform lives. For millions of families in rural Africa trees mean food, housing, fuel, medicines and vital income. Faced with hunger and uncertainty, villagers are forced to exploit their trees.

TREE AID funds, trains and supports communities so that they have the skills to make the best use of trees and their products.

With TREE AID's support villagers can transform their lives by growing, protecting and using trees sustainably and selling their seeds, fruits and nuts.

The extra money earned from tree products can pay for healthcare, schooling and food, enabling villagers to thrive rather than just survive.

Since 1987 more than 450,000 villagers have directly benefited from TREE AID through training and the receipt of trees, and many more have benefited through an improved environment.

We have helped plant over 7 million trees and protected many more.
