About my fundraising
Having had my leg amputated in 2005, I have faced many challenges, but it has also led to many opportunities - one being that I now play Amputee Football for Great Britain. However, I am now facing one of my biggest challenges yet!
On Saturday 18th August, together with several members of the GB team, we are attempting to climb to the summit of Mount Snowdon. There will be no chugging up & down on the train, just a hiking boot and a pair of crutches!
The reason? We are trying to raise funds so that we can attend the Amputee Football World Championships being held in Russia in October 2012. Unfortunately, we do not receive any financial support and therefore in order to attend these tournaments, we have to raise the money ourselves.
I have done some silly things in my time, but this is right up there! If you would be kind enough to sponsor me, I would be most grateful!
