Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I realise that I haven?t given myself long to raise the cash I would like to but there is a reason why....!

Kate and I were going to raise the cash together and have a joint fundraising page however she can no longer take part in the run. For those of you that don?t know Kate blacked out whilst training over Easter, she is fine apart from a few cuts and bruises and was cleared by the specialist yesterday to run again, but the 10k has come too soon for her so she will be there cheering me and the JCT runners on, (hopefully with a few cold ones on ice for when I finish!)

About the JCT Foundation:

One of our close mates Emlyn established the JCT Foundation back in 2000 along with a local vicar in Malawi after travelling around the world for 18 months. About the JCT Foundation:

One of our close mates Emlyn established the JCT Foundation back in 2000 along with a local vicar in Malawi after travelling around the world for 18 months. The vision of the charity is to alleviate the poverty of orphaned children within the rural communities of Malawi, who have been affected by HIV / AIDS and other devastating diseases, enabling them to build a sustainable future for themselves. The foundation works with the people of Malawi, enabling them to become self sufficient and giving them hope for the future of their communities.

Kate and I think the JCT Foundation is different to the other charities we give to. Unlike the major charities that canvass us frequently the JCT is a small organisation, set up and run by a handful of volunteers (friends & family) who pay themselves nothing, their work is done in their free time after work, kids etc... and admin costs are funded by these people, importantly 100% of donations go directly to the kids of Malawi.

The JCT Foundation relies on a handful of people mainly friends of the volunteers (like Kate and I) to take part in a few events every year to allow the charity to continue its work. Kate and I like donating money to the JCT Foundation because it is s a worthy cause, we know exactly where our money goes and how it is spent.

Please give what you can afford, it is all appreciated.
