About my fundraising
The Rose Centre is to be a home - with life-skills training too - for young women who have no family support or anywhere else to live. Some of these women would otherwise perhaps stay in a derelict school, under an open shelter by the railway station or huddle in the sewers. Would you want that for your daughter? Or she could become a victim of sex trafficking or fall into prostitution to get money to live. Not acceptable!
The Biggin Hill Romania Group has commenced the extensive renovation of a derelict floor within the building in which the Robert Cole Special Needs Day Care Centre and School is located, in order to transform it and provide relatively short-term (of up to about two years) safe and secure accommodation, as well as life-skills training, for disadvantaged and homeless young ladies in Comanesti, Romania.
