Roz (Rosalind Blight) is doing a sponsored tattoo in aid of Tanya's Courage Trust on 24th June 2010.

The chosen design is of the Tanya's Courage Trust logo with an added angel on one side, and a fairy on the other, and will be tattooed across the whole width of her back. The tattoo time has kindly been donated by Forever Loyal, Newquay, and is very much appreciated. As soon as we have seen the final drawn up design, we will find out from them if we can get a copy to add it to this event page for all to see.

This is a very worthwhile cause to sponsor, as Tanya's Courage Trust require help to raise £18,000.00 (yes, that's right, 18 thousand pounds!) in 7 weeks!!! They need as much help as they can get at the moment in order to raise this amount for the new outpatients chemotherapy suite in Treliske hospital.

One of the rooms will be decorated following the theme of our website, and both of the rooms will be fully kitted out by Tanya?s Courage Trust. We will be supplying all of the medical equipment for these 2 rooms, and will also be supplying entertainment equipment such as up to date Flat Screen TV's, DVD Players, CD Players, Nintendo Wii's and other Games Consoles, Laptops and internet dongles, Monthly/Weekly Magazine subscriptions, a Mini Fridge in each room with a constant supply of fizzy drinks, sour sweets, chocolate etc, to entice the taste buds during chemotherapy treatment. All of these items are so important to the teenagers and young adults, whilst they have their treatment, as they act as a distraction from what they are currently going through, so they wont have to sit bored whilst receiving their treatment, they will have plenty to do to keep them occupied.

In order to supply all of this we need to raise £18,000.00, but we need to raise this in 7-8 weeks as the rooms are due to open at the end of July 2010.

So please, please sponsor Roz for this as it is for such a great cause!

Tattoo's are permanent! So as you can understand, it is a big thing to be willing to do! So please sponsor as much as you can, got to be worth a fiver each at least (which is minimum through here) - if you cant sponsor through this then please let us know and we can arrange other ways of you sponsoring Roz (via paypal, cash etc)
