About my fundraising
For the 2nd year in a row Sue is running the Hastings Half Marathon for the Association of Carers - Thanks Sue!
The Association of Carers is a local charity that provides services to Carers in Hastings and Rother in East Sussex. Started in 1987 to help give Carers vital breaks from their caring role the Association of Carers has gone from strength to strength and now provides 3 different services.
All these services could not be provided without the help of our volunteers, who commit themselves to help Carers of all ages each week.
Our main service is our respite service which is where volunteers visit and keep the cared for people company so that their Carers can go out for 3 hours each week without worrying.
Last year we launched our Young Carers service for Carers aged between 7 and 18 years old. We have volunteers who take the Young Carers to activities each week to try and give them the same opportunities as other young people their age.
