TO PROMOTE THE PROFESSIONAL AND ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES FORMERLY CARRIED ON AT AND BY ST. PETER'S, ST. PAUL'S, ST. PHILIP'S AND THE SHAFTESBURY HOSPITALS, LONDON AND NOW CARRIED ON AT ST PETER'S HOSPITAL, UNIVERSITY COLLEGE LONDON HOSPITALS NHS TRUST AND AT THE INSTITUTE OF UROLOGY AND NEPHROLOGY AND THE CENTRE FOR NEPHROLOGY OF THE ROYAL FREE AND UNIVERSITY COLLEGE MEDICAL SCHOOL, UNIVERSITY COLLEGE LONDON AND ALSO THE STUDY OF DISEASE AND PARTICULARLY (BUT WITHOUT ANY LIMITATION TO THE GENERALITY OF THIS CLAUSE) DISEASES IN THE FIELD OF NEPHROUROLOGY AND ALLIED FIELDS AND GENERALLY TO IMPROVE THE STANDARD OF KNOWLEDGE AND MEANS OF PREVENTION, DIAGNOSIS AND METHODS OF TREATMENT AND CURE OF SUCH DISEASES INCLUDING INSTITUTING, ENCOURAGING, SUPPORTING AND CARRYING OUT RESEARCH AND INVESTIGATION INTO THE CAUSES SUCH DISEASES AND THE POSSIBILITIES OF PREVENTION AND ALLEVIATION OR CURE AND TO PROMOTE RESEARCH IN THE RELEVANT SCIENCES.
