About St. Kentigern Hospice
St Kentigern Hospice offers a quality Palliative Care Service to its patients. Situated centrally within its catchment area of North East Wales close to the A55 and only a few minutes drive from Glan Clwyd Hospital. It is ideally placed for the community it serves and plays a key part in the provision of palliative care locally.
Palliative Care focuses on the patients’ quality of life, which includes controlling symptoms through a holistic approach, which takes into account the patients ‘ physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs.
The Day Care facility which opened in January 1995 now takes up to 15 patients per day five days a week, and provides services for outpatient care under the direction of our Doctor and medical nursing staff.
The 8 bedded inpatient unit opened during December 2000 and provides 24 hour care 7 days a week with treatment provided by our medical and nursing team.
