Love Light Romania Summer Activity Programme 2014

This is a joint fundraising page set up by a number of the volunteers helping on this year's Activity Programme
The Love Light Romania Summer Activity Programme in Transylvania supports children and teenagers from poor families in the village of Jacodu.

We are not asking for donations to cover our costs, but the cost of running the Programme for the children. £155 will cover the cost of one child attending, and you wouldn't want us to go all that way and not have to work very hard because there are not many children there!

Jacodu Children's Project was launched because children and teenagers from a feral community were forgotten and living with no hope. Those of us that met them last year were left truly inspired and equally saddened that in an EU country children can be left to live in such a way. They are the future and if we care of their needs today and teach them to look to the future, they will give productive opportunities for future generations.

The Jacodu Education Programme has gone a long way to educating these children, giving them a break from the tough lives they lead and helping to end the cycle of poverty. The Summer Activity Programme gives them a well earned week of fun and the opportunity to learn and experience even more.
