About Sound and Music
Sound and Music (SaM) is one of the UK's leading organisations for the promotion of contemporary music and sound art. We deliver an eclectic programme of events, performances, tours, and festivals, as well as innovative education and participation initiatives. Our learning work ranges from school projects that promote early encounters with music and sound, to finding and nurturing outstanding new talent through artist professional development schemes.

THE PURPOSE OF SOUND AND MUSIC IS TO PROMOTE AND FOSTER THE UNDERSTANDING AND APPRECIATION OF SONIC ART AND MUSIC, INCLUDING NEW BRITISH MUSIC. WE SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT AND PERFORMANCE OF THE ART FORM BY SHARING, CREATING AND DISTRIBUTING EVENTS, INFORMATION AND ARCHIVES. WE ORGANISE AND ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES, CONFERENCES, EXHIBITIONS, LECTURES AND OTHER ACTIVITIES.
