About Skye and Lochalsh Community Care Forum SCIO - Young Carers

The Skye & Lochlash Young Carers service based in the Highlands of Scotland supports children and young adults from 5 to 18 years of age whose life is restricted because they need to take responsibility for the care of someone who has chronic illness, has a disability, is experiencing mental ill health or is affected by alcohol or substance misuse. During 2012 the service supported 68 young carers.

Funds raised will help us run our 5 weekly support groups, quarterly respite breaks, skill development training, bereavement, advocacy and one to one support.
