I have decided to take part in a sponsored trek through the wilderness of Romania, to raise funds for a very worthy cause, Love Light Romania (LLR). As many of you know, my good friend R.J. Feaver has spent a number of years working with LLR to raise awareness via his stunning photography and annual visits to Romania.

LLR aims to bring relief and improve the lives of children & young people living in need in the area of Transylvania, with a target group of those infected with HIV, suffering with AIDS, those whose lives are affected by the virus, homelessness and abandonment. The 20 mile trek shall be taking place on 28th July 2012. The trek will take us from Jacodu, a small remote village in the hills in Tirgu Mures County and shall proceed through forest towards villages, through the villages to Sigisoara. I have set a target of £500 and would really appreciate any help/sponsorship you can provide. All the money I raise will go towards supporting children and young adults via LLR projects and the running of The Sanctuary; a place where many have found a home and which provides support, respite and day care. The Sanctuary relies solely on donations and every penny goes directly to the charity and the families.
