About my fundraising

In February 2010 Sight Concern's Chief Officer Jenny Gage and her dad, Andrew Gage, take on Mount Kilimanjaro; the worlds highest freestanding mountain.

For those of you who are not sure whether to donate or not please consider that this has been described by many as "the hardest and most painful experience of their lives".

Not satisfied with that we have also chosen to climb the more difficult and controversial Western Breach assault which will also entail sleeping on a glacier. Only 10% of people take this route!

So although it may be painful to part with your hard earned cash , its going to be more painful for us to reach the summit.

If you are still not convinced to donate just stop and think how devastating it must be to lose your sight.

At Sight Concern we can't reverse the effects of sight loss but we can help people to adjust to their new lives, deal with the grief and offer skills training and support to cope with this type of tragedy, but w...more more
