About Shimna Integrated College
Shimna Integrated College was founded in 1994, on the day of the first IRA ceasefire, which was closely followed by the Loyalist ceasefire. The college was founded by local parents who wanted an integrated, academically excellent, all-ability education for their children. Shimna was created one of NI's first Specialist Schools, and the first with a Specialism in languages and the international dimension.

Shimna was built by parents, and the support of parents and friends remains crucial to what we can offer our students. Our appeal for 2009-2010 is for funds to sustain our counselling service for our students. All the money raised through our Everyclick appeal will go directly to providing that service.
