Shay Given and his wife Jane came up with the idea for an event that would fuse Fashion, Football, Food and Fantastic Entertainment, and would raise a significant amount of money for charity.

Fashion Kicks was born and since 2004 has raised over £600,000.

In 2009 Shay moved to Manchester City F.C, beginning a new chapter for him, his family and Fashion Kicks. For Fashion Kicks 2010 Shay and Jane have been given the full support of his new Club. Add this to the people back on Tyneside, the Republic of Ireland and in Scotland, who have supported the event previously and still want to do their bit for the cause and you have the ingredients for the most successful Fashion Kicks event yet.

Oh and just for good measure WESTLIFE are kindly donating their time and support again by entertaining us on the night.

The real stars on the night will not be the list of very generous individuals who will be using their talents and giving their time to make it a spectacular event. The real stars will be those who come along to support us. The people who buy tickets, who take part in the raffle, the people who enter our text competition running on Smooth Radio, the people who donate online or the people who just wish us well.

The winners will be the 3 very worthy charities benefiting this year and all the people they will now be able to reach out and help because of the generosity of others. Macmillan Cancer Support, Adopt a School and Beechwood Cancer Centre in Stockport would like to thank you all.
