Last year at the end of January I was diagnosed with Tourettes Syndrome (TS). Just after my birthday as well, indeed I thought HAPPY BIRTHDAY, as well! It’s a neurological condition, which very little is known about and can socially stigmatise those who it affects. It causes sufferers to have motor and vocal tics, which vary greatly and can be suppressed for short amounts of time but can be very exhausting. For those of you Big Brother fans, the most recently media profiled person with TS was Pete Bennett who won the show in 2006!

As a result I thought I’d like to do a Tandem Skydive from 10,000 ft. So please give generously. The more awareness raised about TS the better for those living with it. Although no cure will be found in my lifetime, research and a better public perception of this syndrome will make life more comfortable!
