About The Prince's Trust
Around one in five young people in the UK are not in work, education or training. Youth unemployment costs the UK economy £10 million a day in lost productivity, while youth crime costs £1 billion every year.
We address this by giving practical and financial support to the young people who need it most. We help develop key skills, confidence and motivation, enabling young people to move into work, education or training.
We run programmes that encourage young people to take responsibility for themselves ? helping them build the life they choose rather than the one they?ve ended up with.

£10 can support a disadvantaged young person with a passion for enterprise, helping them to explore the option of self employment £14 can buy the learning materials to help an unemployed young person gain their first ever qualification £15 can provide a vulnerable 15-year-old at risk of truanting and exclusion with the support needed to finish their education £19 can provide enterprise training for a young person with a business idea and bags of enthusiasm £50 can purchase the tools and equipment needed by an unemployed young person to move into the workplace £80 can train an xl advisor for two years to support up to 15 young people who are struggling at school £100 could turn a former gang member into an inspirational role model in their local community £180 can enable a young single parent to test a business idea in the marketplace £250 can support a hard-to-reach young person through the Get Started programme, engaging them through their interests and helping to turn their life around

(1) TO PROMOTE BY ALL CHARITABLE MEANS THE MENTAL, SPIRITUAL, MORAL AND PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT AND IMPROVEMENT OF YOUNG PEOPLE AND TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR THEM TO DEVELOP THEIR FULL CAPACITIES AND ENABLE THEM TO BECOME RESPONSIBLE MEMBERS OF SOCIETY SO THAT THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE MAY BE IMPROVED, TO INCLUDE:
(A) PROVIDING FACILITIES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE; (B) ADVANCING THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE BY THE PROVISION, ENCOURAGEMENT AND PROMOTION OF EDUCATION, INSTRUCTION OR TRAINING IN PROFESSIONS, VOCATIONS, INDUSTRIES, CRAFTS, TRADES OR THE SKILLS NEEDED IN EMPLOYMENT; (C) RELIEVING POVERTY AMONGST YOUNG PEOPLE THROUGH THE PROVISION OF ASSISTANCE (INCLUDING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE) AND ENCOURAGEMENT WHILST THEIR EDUCATION IS BEING ADVANCED AS AFORESAID OR WHILST THEY ARE IN THE PROCESS OF ESTABLISHING NEW BUSINESSES OR PREPARING FOR ENTERING UPON OR ENGAGING IN A PROFESSION, TRADE, CRAFT OR SERVICE; (D) AR...
