About PAXTON GREEN TIME BANK
The Time Bank works with people in local communities in Lambeth and Southwark, who may be socially isolated. Through provision of training, motivation and creating networks of friendships, the time bank helps to connect people to each other and with society.
The Time Bank is run on the principles of co-production which means members work together to resolve their needs together and also make ideas a reality. For example, we are supporting Dee to create a women's support group.
We at the Time Bank believe that everyone has something to offer others. Members give their time to each other to help out with things and also to motivate each other. So Julie wants help with her literacy course, and Peter, who can no longer work as a teacher because of illness, helps her with her homework. Brian, who has been living in a hostel has been looking for a place to live. Martha who has been through the same process, has been helping him bid for a flat.
