About my fundraising
On Saturday 26 November, in St Peter's Square, Emsworth, a team of Firefighters, Soldiers, Royal Navy personnel and gym-goers are hoping to cover the 1,480 mile distance from Emsworth to Romania -on static spin bikes ! The event has been organised by Innovations Fitness in partnership with Hampshire Fire and Rescue. All monies raised will go directly to Love Light Romania, a charity run by Ron and Jo Jowett, a couple originally from Wales, who moved to Romania to provide respite care for children infected with HIV and suffering from AIDS, often who had been abandoned. The charity also provides outreach care for many families living in poverty who are otherwise unable to access resources and medical attention that they so desperately need. The charity's mantra is: "All terminally ill children and young people have the right to a healthy and purposeful life and the right to die with dignity".
We are relying on support from the local community to donate on the day of the event, ...
